POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role plays a key part in supporting financial decision-making through timely and reliable reporting and analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Execute month-end and quarter-end close processes, including general ledger journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
· Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy across multiple entities
· Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
· Partner with Business Unit Controllers to analyze operating results, trends, and variances.
· Support budgeting and forecasting processes and variance analysis
· Utilize ERP systems to streamline reporting, improve accuracy, and drive efficiencies
· Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
· Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
· Support processing of Concur reports to ensure accurate general ledger coding
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· A minimum of 2 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in mid-sized or large multi- entity environment
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
· Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft GP, D365, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
· Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team environment
