Admissions/Social Service Director

Full Time

Pay between $62,000 - $65,000/year (Based on experience)

What will I do as an Admissions/Social Service Director?

• The primary purpose of the Admissions/Social Service Director is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. The Social Service department at LifeQuest Nursing Center has responsibility for provision of admission services as well as resident and family support services within the facility. The social service worker represents LifeQuest Nursing Center by providing information about the facility and its services to interested people in the community. Actual admissions to the center are coordinated through this Department.

What is required in this position?

• Must have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work or a Bachelors Degree in a human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology.
• Must have, as a minimum, one (1) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility working directly with individuals.
• Membership in NASW is desirable.
• Registered as ACSW or ACBSW is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
