Cabinet Maker I

Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings utilizing a variety of different tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• Installation and fabrication of cabinet components and hardware
• Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels
• Laminate cabinets and panels as needed
• Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
• Function with minimal amount of supervision
• Close attention to detail
• Meet standards of safety and 5S
• Promote use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
• Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company handbook
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Qualifications/Training:

• Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English
• Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devices
• Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
• Ability to use basic mathematics
• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
• Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it

While performing the duties of this job:

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40#'s
• The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects; and reach with hand and arms.
• The employee is required to be squatting, kneeling or bending position
• Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding
• Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools and machinery
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Ability to work with arms above head.
• Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

• Safety Glasses
• Earplugs
• Work gloves when needed
• Protective disposable suite
• Respirator when required
• Closed-toed shoes

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is between $17.54 - $22.13. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay.
