A busy Urgent Care clinic is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant to join our team in Hilton Head, SC. This role includes both clinical and front-desk responsibilities and requires strong communication, reliability, and a patient-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:

- Room patients, take vitals, and enter information into EMR
- Collect medical history, demographics, and prescription info
- Recognize patient distress and alert provider
- Perform lab tests and collect specimens (including phlebotomy)
- Assist with medication administration under provider direction
- Support occupational health testing
- Maintain clean exam rooms and functioning equipment
- Provide excellent customer service and assist at the front desk
- Answer phones, update demographics, and help with check-in/out
- Travel to nearby centers when needed
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of accredited Medical Assisting program
- Current CMA or RMA
- CPR certification
- OSHA/HIPAA training
- EMR proficiency and basic medical terminology
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts + weekends
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred:

- Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting
