Field Service Technician

Location: Nationwide & International Travel

Are you a hands-on problem solver with expertise in PLCs, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting? Join an established organization as a Field Service Engineer and play a critical role in supporting customers worldwide. This position offers extensive travel and the opportunity to work on advanced steam generators and thermal fluid heaters.

What Youll Do

• Perform start-up services for machinery (generators, heaters etc.) at customer sites across the U.S. and internationally.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and circuits for customers and service technicians.
• Provide on-site field service and phone-based technical support.
• Conduct burner combustion and operational testing on production units before shipment.
• Prepare trip reports and maintain clear communication to resolve customer issues.
• Write technical documentation for electrical systems and operating instructions.

What Were Looking For

• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs (RS Logix500 preferred).
• 3+ years working with PLC/HMI devices; Siemens and Allen Bradley experience is a plus.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical wiring and piping diagrams.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Comfortable using hand tools, test meters, and combustion analyzers.
• U.S. work authorization required.

Travel: 8090% (70% U.S., up to 20% international). Most trips are under 5 days and scheduled during the workweek.

Compensation Range: $38hr - $42hr
