  • Take special care of sick or injured cats and dogs, or those with behavior challenges, until they are ready for adoption
  • Snuggle cats, walk dogs, pat the bunny, and make sure everyone has the toys and treats they need to keep them entertained
  • Make visitors to the shelter feel welcome and appreciated
Who are we looking for?

We are willing to train the right person how to do the job, but we'd like you to bring these qualities and skills to the table:

  • The ability to speak Spanish or Haitian Creole in addition to English is a plus!
We want you to have a high school diploma or GED. Additional education is great, especially if it's in biology or animal behavior or the veterinary field, but it's OK if college wasn't for you. If you have at least one year of experience working in a shelter, vet clinic, boarding facility, sanctuary, or zoo, that does stand out to us, but it's not absolutely required.
