2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Genesis10 is seeking IT Audit consultant to cover workstreams in our client's Equities eTrading area. This is a project with a Global Investment Bank client located in New York, NY. This role will be 5 days per week onsite. Summary: Our client has a need for a senior consultant with strong knowledge of equities eTrading, ability to read object oriented code (Java preferred) with good data analysis and documentation skills. They will be tasked with reviewing and analyzing the selected eTrading systems from a risk/controls perspective. This is a Tech focused audit role for which requires the ability to test application controls, review code logic and conduct code walk-throughs. The consultant will be assisting with needs around control effectiveness testing and system design review validation (comparing code samples to design specifications and information provided during system walk throughs). This organization is focused on reducing technology risk and enhancing the firm's overall control environment by: reviewing and testing I.T. applications, making recommendations to introduce or improve controls; assisting with firm technology projects and supporting senior management in incident analysis and follow-up. Responsibilities: Daily responsibilities will include performing technology risk and controlling reviews within a challenging, dynamic, and complex business and technology environment. This role requires interaction with both technology stakeholders and business auditors and therefore a combination of technology skills, business product knowledge, analytical skills and interpersonal skills are required for the position. They will be required to take ownership of the fieldwork testing by effectively interacting with audit clients to understand the flows and controls. Candidate should be able to develop effective testing approaches and execute tests accurately within audit timelines. Requirements: Subject Matter Expertise in Equities eTrading Understanding of IT Controls and how to frame the approach for an Audit from an Audit perspective rather than a Developer. Ability to read Java and or Python OO code. Data Analysis skills and ability to use SQL for working with large data sets. Strong Business and Functional Analysis skills. Experience documenting system workflows and data mapping. Strong communication skills, particularly in producing clear and concise documentation. Prior IT Audit experience is a plus.
