Mid-Level Leverage Finance Associate Attorney (New York)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Leverage Finance Associate to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in New York. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in leverage finance, preferably within a top-tier law firm. This role will provide the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile transactions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in a variety of leverage finance transactions, including lending, acquisition finance, and restructurings.
• Draft and negotiate key finance documents, including loan agreements, credit facilities, and intercreditor agreements.
• Work closely with clients to provide strategic legal counsel on financing transactions.
• Collaborate with teams across corporate and finance practice areas to ensure seamless legal services.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and attention to client needs.
• Manage a variety of matters and transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Education: JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar Admission: Licensed to practice in New York.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of leverage finance experience, ideally at a recognized Am Law 100 firm.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong business judgment and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid: Regular in-office presence with flexibility for work-from-home.

Compensation:
The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $310,000 - $390,000 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic location, experience, and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k), is offered.
