Hours per day - 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime. $16-18 per hour

DESCRIPTION
In a fast-paced, manufacturing facility, the Fit-up Welder reads and uses blueprints, a tape measure, square, appropriate MIG welding machine to fit-up, tack, and finish welding for mild steel products. Requires shop math skills including knowledge of
angles. Requires knowledge of general shop practices and shop safety.
Must be able to recognize and measure various steel types and sizes. Studies indicate that the noise from welding equipment exceed OSHA limitations during an 8-hour weighted average.
This position will require a hearing conservation baseline and entry into the hearing conservation program. The use of hearing protection is a requirement of this position. Requires good oral communication skills, listening skills, and ability to learn. Works independently and in cooperation with other employees. Operates fork lift truck, overhead cranes and hoists.
2. Work Breaks - 2 10-minute breaks daily, 30-minute lunch break.

Light - 1-15 pounds - frequently
Medium - 16-45 pounds - Frequently
*Any lifting over 50 lbs. requires assistance or use of mechanical device.
4. Carrying distance - Up to 25 feet frequently.
5. Environment - Temperature from 25 to 110+ degrees. Fumes, dust, humidity, noise
at or above 85db.
