Summary of Essential Job Functions - Work chair-side with Orthodontist, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
- Preparing and taking patient molds
- Changing out rubber bands, wires, and brackets
- Adjusting fit of clear aligners such as Invisalign
- Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
At a Glance - Certifications Required : CDA or RDA.
- Additional Certifications: X-ray certification is a plus.
- Experience : No previous experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification
- Job Type: Full-time
Compensation and Schedule - Salary: $16.00 depending on experience. Additional increases for experience
- Bonus Pay: up to $300 additional per month
