Overview: The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. Nurse will support the providers in the office. Responsibilities: Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice. Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate. Provides health and diabetic education to patients, families and groups. Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff. Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes. Works with other RNs in the department in the development of departmental standing orders to be improved by provider. Download meters, fill prescriptions, obtain prior authorizations, respond to patient questions in person and by telephone. Prepares letters of disability including completion of FML forms. Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes. Applying, removal and education on continuous glucose monitors Provides insulin education. Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
