Saffer & Flint Accountancy Corporation is seeking a career-oriented tax preparer supervisor to join our team. Established in 1995, we are a relationship oriented firm specializing in high net worth individuals and closely held businesses across a broad set of industries. We provide our clients with a full range of services including business consulting, tax, and attest services. We focus on establishing long-term relationships with out clients and team of tax professionals. Our team is committed to growing the capabilities and knowledge base of our employees. At Saffer & Flint Accountancy Corporation, we are looking for the right candidate to join our team-oriented environment that focuses on long-term fulfillment and professional growth.

This is not a seasonal role - this is a full-time year-round position.

At Saffer & Flint Accountancy Corporation, you will join a team environment that fosters learning and professional growth. Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, career-oriented tax preparer with a MINIMUM of 5 years of tax preparation experience. As a member of our team, you will be expected to work alongside our accountants to prep individual income tax returns.

Employee Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns for high net worth and complicated individual income tax returns.
• Coordinate with preparers and professional staff.
• Contact clients and revenue agencies to obtain necessary documentation
• Interact with other departments within the company to effectively prepare client returns

Required Job Qualifications:

• MINIMUM of 5 years of tax preparation and review experience.
• Experience with reading and understanding IRS wage and income transcripts
• Experience preparing individual 1040 returns
• Ability/experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Maturity, dependability, strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Must be software literate - including MS Suite.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Experience with PTIN or CTEC
• Experience with CCH ProSystem FX is a plus but not required.
• Bookkeeping experience is a plus but not required.
