Job Purpose

The Senior Terraform/GCP Infrastructure & Data Engineer will serve as a technical leader responsible for architecting and deploying enterprise-grade cloud data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This position requires strong hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (HCL) to provision, automate, and manage critical cloud services spanning networking, security, compute, storage, and data systems. The engineer will define technical direction, ensure alignment with enterprise IT goals, and provide architectural guidance throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable data and infrastructure solutions on GCP.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation using Terraform (HCL).
• Provision and manage core cloud services: networking, security, compute, storage, and database platforms.
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver secure, reliable cloud solutions.
• Lead architectural decision-making and ensure adherence to IT strategy and cloud governance.
• Establish best practices for cloud automation, cost optimization, reliability, and security.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and deployment standards.
• Provide ongoing technical mentorship to engineering teams across project phases.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience building and managing GCP cloud infrastructure.
• Expert-level knowledge in Terraform (HCL) for IaC provisioning and automation.
• Strong background in cloud networking, security configuration, compute, storage, and data platforms.
• Ability to architect enterprise-scale, secure, and highly available cloud solutions.
• Experience leading technical design and cloud implementation projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Prior experience guiding cross-functional teams in cloud and data engineering initiatives.
