SummaryThe Mix Plant Operator will be responsible for the safe, productive manufacturing processes within our department including, but not limited to, following all written work instruction and operating procedures related to the areas packaging and handling of explosive products; inspect manufactured products for accuracy; recognize hazards within the production area; operate equipment and ensure equipment is running properly; troubleshoot and problem solve with Supervisor/Area Lead on any technical issues as needed; obtain box truck/forklift certification within specified timeframe; operate and maintain manufacturing vehicles when needed; and any other duties as assigned by Area Lead, Supervisor and/or Department Manager.Qualifications and education requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Minimum of 18 years old
• Basic Math skills (basic counting skills required)
• Ability to read and maintain proper documentation as required.
• Meet requirements of all state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive processor.
• Must be able to work in various conditions (hot/cold and wet floors)
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work various shifts as required by business demands.
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
• Must be able to work in loud work environment; hearing protection required in some areas (range of 50 – 90 decibels)
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day.
• Have high manual dexterity.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to wear all required PPE.
• Ability to get fitted for complaint respirator.
• Ability to get fitted wand wear formal respirator, half faced style, as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to work at heights or heightened work surfaces for short periods of time.

• 1+ years manufacturing experience or
• 1+ years explosive or chemical manufacturing
• Mechanically inclined.
